For over 150 years, the Tulama Oromo—one of the largest indigenous people in Oromia, Ethiopia—have been uprooted incessantly from their ancestral lands. Today, the proposed Aabbuu Mega Airport threatens to displace over 15,000 people from six villages of Aabbuu in Central Oromia. This is not development—it’s erasure of identity, cultural heritage, and history.
